Firstly – A no cost, no obligation, scoping session.
Many prospective clients come to us with a solution in mind. They ask for “team building” or “management development.” If we designed and delivered without a more in depth exploration of your business aims and objectives and pinpointing what is happening with the people in your business you may well get a costly “solution” that doesn’t address the problem or deliver the results you need. That obviously isn’t good for you and it isn’t good for our track record of success either.
We will help you quickly get to the nub of the issue and identify the specific behavioural changes you need to see in order to support your business aims. If you decide not to go ahead with working with us, you will still have received an excellent coaching session and come away with more clarity on your next steps.
Secondly – Try before you buy
We understand that to bring someone into your business to run a programme is to take a personal and professional risk, especially if you haven’t seen us in action. If it goes well people may forget it was you that made the decision. If it goes badly everyone will remember! You need to know that we will be a good fit for your organisation. Who we are
Ever since my Navy days, I’ve realized I’ve spent most of the last 30 years helping technical people step up to the challenges of management and leadership. As a result, I’ve typically had the best success when I’ve worked with individuals from technical backgrounds, in particular, IT, pharmaceutical, and bio-technology. The sorts of companies where you’ve often got brilliant, highly intelligent people, who really struggle with the leading and managing people, part of their role.
I go well beyond the usual confines of what most people refer to as ‘training’. Too many trainers roll out tired, off the shelf training, and sheep dip as many participants in it as possible. This pray and spray approach to developing people is too generic to be effective and too costly for you to waste money on. Learning is a process, not an event, so I urge you to consider how participants will be engaged from the start of the design and supported to apply and refine their learning back in the workplace.
