Why Choose Us?

Working with Us?

We build long term, trusting relationships with our clients so partnership is at the heart of everything we do.

We’ll invest time in getting under the skin of your organisation and together we will identify exactly what outstanding performance looks like for you and your unique organisation. We’ll pinpoint what’s working well already that can be built on and what changes you are seeking to make. Don’t worry, we have a range of tried, tested and speedy tools and processes to make this vital first step as effective, quick and painless as possible. Then we’ll propose a tailor-made solution that will help you reach your goals most effectively.

Because ensuring maximum transfer and application of new skills and behaviours is so important to us and our clients, our solutions go well beyond the typical training event. We have devised a 5C’s Learning Framework to ensure that the blocks that consistently get in the way of applying new learning, are overcome.

We’ll never choose short-term profit over long-term partnership, so you can be sure that we’ll always be straight with you. It’s in nobody’s best interests for us to enter into a relationship that isn’t going to succeed. And if we don’t think we are the right people for the job we will say so.

Removing Your Risk

There are three ways we help you to remove any risk you may be concerned about when sourcing a provider of development programmes.

Firstly – A no cost, no obligation, scoping session.

Many prospective clients come to us with a solution in mind. They ask for “team building” or “management development.” If we designed and delivered without a more in depth exploration of your business aims and objectives and pinpointing what is happening with the people in your business you may well get a costly “solution” that doesn’t address the problem or deliver the results you need.  That obviously isn’t good for you and it isn’t good for our track record of success either.

We will help you quickly get to the nub of the issue and identify the specific behavioural changes you need to see in order to support your business aims. If you decide not to go ahead with working with us, you will still have received an excellent coaching session and come away with more clarity on your next steps.

Secondly – Try before you buy

We understand that to bring someone into your business to run a programme is to take a personal and professional risk, especially if you haven’t seen us in action. If it goes well people may forget it was you that made the decision. If it goes badly everyone will remember! You need to know that we will be a good fit for your organisation.  To re-assure you and enable you to make an informed choice, we offer a discounted bite-sized presentation or workshop.

Thirdly – A robust money back guarantee.

Our guarantee is simply this. If you and your participants fully implement our programme and upon completion don’t believe it was money well spent, we will refund our fees.

If you decide to work with us, this is what to expect.

Who we are

About Julie

tmp39F-largeEver since my Navy days, I’ve realized I’ve spent most of the last 30 years helping technical people step up to the challenges of management and leadership. As a result, I’ve typically had the best success when I’ve worked with individuals from technical backgrounds, in particular, IT, pharmaceutical, and bio-technology. The sorts of companies where you’ve often got brilliant, highly intelligent people, who really struggle with the leading and managing people, part of their role.

I go well beyond the usual confines of what most people refer to as ‘training’. Too many trainers roll out tired, off the shelf training, and sheep dip as many participants in it as possible. This pray and spray approach to developing people is too generic to be effective and too costly for you to waste money on. Learning is a process, not an event, so I urge you to consider how participants will be engaged from the start of the design and supported to apply and refine their learning back in the workplace. See the most effective way to do this through my 5C’s learning framework here

My personal style has been described as approachable, engaging, pragmatic and fun to work with. I’m open to ideas and not wedded to a particular approach or school of thinking – I’m well aware that when you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. Most important of all, I never lose sight of the business results you’re looking for. Thankfully, others agree. Please click here to read what clients say about me.
